There really is much more proof than this but I just found this so hilarious in the context I read it. This is from a chapter in the book where Ghandi is exposing himself to more religions than his own. A Christian friend gives him a Bible to read and he has some difficulty getting through the Old Testament. I find it so funny because I remember feeling the same way about some of the first books of the Old Testament.
From Ghandi An Autobiography: The Story of My Experiments With Truth p.68
I read the book of Genesis, and the chapters that followed invariably sent me to sleep. But just for the sake of being able to say I had read it, I plodded through the other books with much difficulty and without the least interest or understanding. I disliked reading the book of Numbers.
