Brother And Sister Up To Visit

Aria and Langston came up to stay with me on the weekend of the 4th of July. I was a little worried about their ability to keep from fighting with each other over the weekend but they did alright; considering they’re both teenagers. haha. Ok so they probably won’t appreciate that but it’s true!

Well we hung out and stayed up late playing video games. Sunday I took Langston by the skate-park in Edmonds. so he could skate a bit. He really reminds me of my friend Brandon back in high school. He used to skate everywhere and was always talking about it or reading the magazines.

Well, I got a few pics of Langston Skating and then one group photo of the 3 of us. Continue reading “Brother And Sister Up To Visit” »

4th of July on Lake Union

I don’t usually do much for the 4th but this year it worked out that I could hang out with my brother and sister, their family and friends! The location was right on Lake Union in front of the barge that is used to launch the fireworks. It was quite literally awesome to be so close. I love to feel the explosions throughout my body as the fireworks shred apart above.

Occasionally the power lines got in the way of a nice shot but otherwise I like a few of the photos. Been a while since I broke out the tripod and played with the manual settings as well so it did me good. Enjoy. Continue reading “4th of July on Lake Union” »

A Few Walks Lately

I began this post a few weeks ago but had some technical difficulties after uploading the photos and had to upload them again. Since I am lazy it took me a while to get around to it and I didn’t feel like filling out the captions again. So here you have my post; finally.

I’ve managed to go on a few walks lately. I recall when I was younger I never wanted to walk — I always had my bike. If my mom could ever convince me to go for a walk with her I would have to go along on my bike. Well, fast-forward a decade or so and I no longer have a bike and am comfortable just walking. It’s nice exercise!

A couple weekends ago my cousin Lori came over to hang out and I decided we should check out a trail I read about in the community newsletter. It’s over behind the library and I never knew it was there! We only walked for about 10 minutes and turned around. I really just wanted to check it out. I’ll go back there later and try the whole thing. Continue reading “A Few Walks Lately” »

Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars

Everything
On our own

We don’t need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don’t quite know
How to say
How I feel

Use nslookup To Find MX Records

I wasn’t sure if there was a way to do this but I found you can actually change the type of record you are looking up in windows with nslookup. After opening the nslookup console by typing nslookup at the command prompt, simply type:
set type=mx
I also found you can set type to any other lookup (ptr, a) and find the results. Nice and easy.
